my Bolivian born daughter in law

She turned 50 today – and fifty never looked so good.

This amazing woman has brought a new life to our family, and especially to my son. Isabel can plan a masquerade ball extravaganza, work a full time job, cook three course dinners and run from track meets to soccer games in between. She is frequently on the road running here and there for her twins, Alexander and Victoria, and taking her Vizsla, Dulce on mile long runs most days . She is our very own Energizer Bunny.

She is beautiful and smart. Fashionable and down to earth. I admire her so. She welcomed me into her life on the first day we met. What a blessing she has been to me. She excels at motherhood and has proven that over and over again.

I am grateful for her many attributes, but most of all for her love and dedication she has for my son. I know she would walk through fire for Ricky, and he would do the same for her.

I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next. She constantly amazes me. I love her tenderness and her feistiness; her grace and her candidness; her thoughtfulness and her humor. It is no secret how much I adore this 50 year young lady. I cannot imagine my life without her.

Happy Birthday, Isabel. I love you so much. ¡Feliz cumpleaños!

I love hearing your thoughts and comments.
